Eyebrows Tattooing

Pre-Procedure

  • Eating a meal before your appointment is advisable to help maintain stable blood sugar levels during the procedure.
  • It is recommended to refrain from consuming alcohol for 24 hours prior to your appointment. Alcohol can thin the blood, making the skin more sensitive and prone to bleeding.
  • Prior to your appointment, please refrain from taking blood thinning medications such as ibuprofen, aspirin, and fish oil tablets for 72 hours. If needed, consult your doctor for further guidance.
  • It is important to protect your skin from sunburn.
  • Please refrain from waxing or tinting your brows for two weeks leading up to your appointment.
  • It is recommended that brow tattooing be done before considering Botox. If choosing to have Botox first, please do so at least two weeks before your appointment.
  • Individuals who have taken acne medications such as Accutane or Retin-A within the last year may have an altered skin condition that can impact healing after a tattoo procedure. Waiting a year before getting a tattoo on this type of skin is recommended. Additionally, it is advised to discontinue using products containing Retinol or Vitamin A at least one month before the procedure.

Aftercare

After the procedure, use a wet wipe to gently dab the area and absorb excess lymph fluid. Repeat this every hour or as often as possible for the rest of the day to prevent the hardening of the fluids. Wait until the next morning before applying aftercare cream to allow the wound to close naturally.

For the first week, wash your tattoo eyebrows twice daily to remove bacteria, product buildup, oils, and dead skin. Use a gentle soap like Dial, Cetaphil, Neutrogena, or QV. Gently rub the area with your fingertips for 10 seconds and rinse with water. Pat dry with a clean tissue. Avoid cleansing products with acids or exfoliants.

After fully drying your eyebrows, apply a small amount of aftercare cream using a cotton swab. Ensure not to apply too much, as it can hinder skin healing. The cream should be lightly spread across the treated area. Avoid putting aftercare cream on a wet tattoo.
